The editorial of Rebound 88 (20th June 2006) could be taken by all democracy activists outside of Burma as a " Call to Arm".
Dr.Tun Than will be defintely more useful to fight for democracy for Burma by staying alive, and rallying strength we need to combat the military juncta from outside in non-violent way.
It was the same strategy used by Nelson Madela's party by letting his deputy leader (Botha) to go around the world for years during his long imprisonment to get support. Finally they won. NLD inside Burma is incapacitated by the juncta, barely staying alive as a rightful owner of people's mandate from 1990 election.
Now is the time for our opposition forces outside Burma to show solidarity and unified effort spearheaded by a brave old man.
