I keep hearing US President George W Bush’s platitudes on freedom, terror and democracy, but nothing exposes their disingenuousness more than the situation in Burma, or Myanmar as it is now called.
Every one of Bush’s outpourings on Iraq could have been used with absolute conviction and a wide acceptance to invade Burma where a democratic government was overthrown by military terrorists.
Liberate the Nobel Prizewinner, Aung San Suu Kyi, fight terrorism and restore democracy and freedom. But nothing happens. What’s holding him back? Haven’t his corporate advisers mentioned the country to him?
